Exam results

Summer 2016

Our students gathered an impressive haul of A and A* grades in their GCSE results.

Principal Duncan Cooper said: “I am delighted to say that a third of all grades awarded to our students were A/A*. It’s an impressive achievement and shows just how hard our staff and students have worked. I am incredibly proud of them all.

“99% of the students achieved the grades necessary to move up to their chosen sixth form college which was fantastic.”

“These results put us amongst the top achieving schools in the county. We are all very pleased.”

One third of the Bassingbourn results came in at A/A*, with almost half the pupils gaining three or more passes at A/A*. The school was particularly pleased with the 100% A grade pass for students sitting Latin for the first time.

Summer 2012 Results

Bassingbourn Village College is celebrating another successful set of GCSE results day with 64% of its pupils achieving 5 or more GCSEs at A*-C including English and Maths. 35% of grades were at A* and A, and 31% of students attained the English Baccalaureate.

The results are a reflection of the hard work of our students. We were particularly pleased that a number of subjects achieved 100% A*-C pass rates and with a large number of outstanding individual student performances, including 12% of students who achieved all A* and A grades.
